Sedation Dentistry

Have you been avoiding the dentist for years or decades? Do you have past bad memories at the dentist that you would rather forget? We understand. We now offer a solution.

You may be able to complete all of that work in one or two comfortable visits with conscious sedation.

Conscious Sedation

Sit back, relax, and enjoy our patient amenities and entertainment while we treat you to excellent dentistry. Oral conscious sedation will soothe your nerves and give you a euphoric feeling that will last throughout your visit. You will walk out of our office with a stunning and healthy smile, but without memories of the sights or sounds of your appointment.

What is Conscious Sedation?

Bowman Dental is pleased to offer oral conscious sedation to our patients. Oral conscious sedation allows patients to remain conscious so they can respond to their dentist’s questions and commands. At the same time, the patient will feel content and calm, and will be able to sit peacefully throughout their entire procedure.

How does oral conscious sedation work? When you come see Dr. Bowman for a consultation, he will prescribe the anti-anxiety pill that is right for you. You’ll take the pill shortly before your appointment, and your anxiety will ebb away.

Although oral conscious sedation patients do not usually fall asleep, they may feel as if they are waking up after their procedure. If a visit lasts a few hours, it may only feel like a few minutes to the sedation dentistry patient. The patient may not have any memory of their appointment after it is over.

Why do I need a Sedation Dentist?

Sedation dentistry is a great option for patients who:

  • Put off getting necessary dental work done because of an overwhelming fear of going to the dentist.

  • Are anxious about the possible pain and discomfort involved with an extensive dental procedure.
  • Require multiple dental procedures performed (multiple fillings/root canals, implants, etc).

  • Have a sensitive gag reflex and have difficulties keeping their mouth open for extended periods of time.
  • Have TMJ pain or tooth sensitivity that makes procedures difficult

Don’t let dental fears hinder your health and smile potential a moment longer! Call (603) 756-4719 today to schedule your consultation with Dr. Bowman and achieve that dream smile you’ve always wanted. Just sit back and relax, while we take care of the rest.
